Economy block instructions

1. Finger press both Fabric 1 and 2 squares in half, unfold and fold in half in the other direction.
2. Cut Fabric 1 in quarters diagonally.
3. Match 2 triangles to opposite sides of Fabric 2 square, right sides together, with long end of triangle to square edge and line up folds.
4. Sew triangles to square with a ¼ inch seam.
5. Finger press toward triangles.
6. Match remaining 2 triangles to the open sides of square, right sides together, with long end of triangle to square edge and line up folds.
7. Sew triangles to square with a ¼ inch seam.
8. Press toward triangles.
9. Finger press unit in half along inner square diagonally.
10. Finger press Fabric 3 squares in half diagonally once.
11. Cut Fabric 3 squares in half diagonally across fold.
12. Match 2 triangles to opposite sides of sewn unit, right sides together, with long end of triangle to unit edge and line up folds.
13. Sew triangles to unit with a ¼ inch seam.
14. Finger press toward triangles.
15. Match remaining 2 triangles to the open sides of unit, right sides together, with long end of triangle to square edge and line up folds.
16. Sew triangles to square with a ¼ inch seam.
17. Press toward triangles.
